All content, software, design elements, graphics, logos, text, and other materials provided by USAEV.Press, Inc. ("USAEV.Press," "we," "us," or "our") through our Services are protected by United States and international copyright laws.

1.2 User Content

You retain all copyright and ownership rights to content you create, upload, or distribute through the Services ("User Content"), including:

• Press releases you write or generate using our AI tools
• Media files (images, videos, audio) you upload
• Contact lists and journalist databases
• Company information and boilerplate text

2. License Grants

2.1 License to USAEV.Press

By uploading or creating User Content, you grant USAEV.Press a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to:

• Store, process, and display your content to provide the Services
• Distribute your content via authorized wire services, social media platforms, and news aggregators
• Create derivative works necessary for formatting, optimization, and distribution
• Use aggregated, anonymized data for analytics and service improvement

This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account, except where content has been shared with third parties or is required for legal compliance.

2.2 License to Users

Subject to your compliance with our Terms of Service, USAEV.Press grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Access and use the Services for your internal business purposes
• Download and print materials provided through the Services for personal use

You may NOT:

• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from USAEV.Press materials
• Remove copyright notices or proprietary markings
• Use USAEV.Press materials in any commercial product or service without permission
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software

3. AI-Generated Content

3.1 Ownership

Content generated using our AI tools (Ollama/llama3.1) is provided to you under the same terms as User Content you create manually. You own the AI-generated output.

3.2 Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Reviewing all AI-generated content before publication
• Ensuring AI-generated content does not infringe third-party rights
• Complying with all applicable laws when using AI-generated content
• Verifying factual accuracy of AI-generated information

3.3 Local Processing

Our AI models run locally on USAEV.Press infrastructure. Your content is NOT sent to third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic). We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our models.

4. DMCA Compliance

4.1 Copyright Infringement Notification

USAEV.Press respects intellectual property rights. If you believe that material on our Services infringes your copyright, please provide our Designated Copyright Agent with the following information pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA):

• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
• Identification of the infringing material and its location on our Services
• Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized
• A statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

4.2 Designated Copyright Agent

4.3 Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

• Your physical or electronic signature
• Identification of the removed material and its prior location
• A statement under penalty of perjury that removal was a mistake or misidentification
• Your name, address, phone number, and consent to jurisdiction

4.4 Repeat Infringer Policy

USAEV.Press will terminate accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances.

5. Fair Use

USAEV.Press respects fair use rights under copyright law. Fair use may apply when using copyrighted material for purposes such as:

• Criticism, comment, or news reporting
• Teaching, scholarship, or research
• Parody or satire

Whether a use qualifies as fair use depends on factors including purpose, nature of the work, amount used, and market effect. Consult legal counsel if you are unsure.

6. Third-Party Content

6.1 Wire Services

When you distribute press releases via wire services (IssueWire, EIN Presswire, Newswire.com, AccessNewswire), you represent and warrant that:

• You own or have rights to all content in the press release
• Your content does not infringe third-party copyrights
• You have rights to grant distribution licenses to these services

6.2 Media Files

When uploading images, videos, or audio files, ensure you have:

• Copyright ownership or a valid license
• Model releases for identifiable individuals
• Property releases for identifiable private property
• Rights to music, soundtracks, or audio clips

7. Attribution Requirements

7.1 Third-Party Materials

If you use third-party copyrighted materials (with permission), you must provide proper attribution including:

• Copyright holder's name
• Title of the work (if applicable)
• Source or link to the original
• License terms (e.g., Creative Commons)

7.2 USAEV.Press Attribution

Free and Starter plan users may be required to include "Powered by USAEV.Press" attribution in distributed press releases. Paid plans (Growth and above) can remove this attribution.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless USAEV.Press from claims, damages, and expenses arising from:

• Copyright infringement by your User Content
• Your violation of third-party intellectual property rights
• Misrepresentation of ownership or rights to content
• Unauthorized use of copyrighted materials

9. Open Source Software

USAEV.Press uses open source software components. A list of open source components and their licenses is available in our product documentation. Compliance with open source licenses is important to us.

10. International Copyright

USAEV.Press complies with international copyright treaties including:
